Social Networks

Social Networking is here and if you are not making the most out of it you are losing out on millions of potential customers. However, whilst there are a multitude of Social Networks out there you need to understand what each of them are for and what works best for your visitors. There are many examples of people going over the top and sticking 5 or more social icons across the top of their website and on every article, this does not add anything but clutter to your site.

Knowing which social networks your visitors will use enables you to provide a more integrated experience that they are more likely to use and get the word out about your product or service.

We can develop applications for most of the social networks, Facebook is always top of the list and we have over 2 years experience of developing page tabs, applications and competitions for large UK brands.

Below is a list of some of the social integration jobs we have done:

Vintage Inns - Poetry Competition

Vintage Inns wanted to host a competition where entrants would submit a line to a poem and the best line each week was added to the main poem. This is done on a Facebook tab on the Vintage Inns page. The competition was set to run for 8 weeks. The link below is to the Vintage Inns Facebook page and not direct to the tab which may have closed by the time you read this!

Ember Inns - Cask Calculator

Ember Inns and Ember Pub & Dining have seasonal cask ales that they promote on Facebook with competitions and fun things. The "Cask Calculator" linked below is one in a line of Facebook tabs Ember have had made to get Facebook users talking about their drinks range and sharing the news.

We will be adding a portfolio of Facebook tabs soon as they often have a limited lifespan so linking to live examples can be difficult.

Site Integration

We have added Facebook and Twitter custom apps to many websites over the past few years. Each of the sites we maintain is linked with Facebook insights for detailed reports on who is accessing your site on a level Google Analytics cannot. See the sites linked below for some examples of social sharing integration.
